The Trailhand is cut from top-grain leather and rubbed to a vintage distressed finish that deepens with use rather than wearing out. Real hide develops a surface sheen over time. Synthetic materials peel. These are not the same thing.

Top-grain leather develops a richer patina over time. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth, treat it occasionally with a leather conditioner, and keep it away from prolonged direct sun and moisture. Small natural marks are part of real hide.
